J&S started out in 1951 as a full line distributor of primarily
Johns - Manville Building Products. From the very start our company sold every product that Johns Manville produced for the building industry trade, including every single item from the basement to the roof and every floor in between.

After a few years passed by, we started to enter into new markets with other building supply manufacturers.  We established relationships with companies such as Dow Chemical, Owens Corning, GAF, Firestone, Thermafiber, and W.R. Grace just to name a few.  J&S SUPPLY became able to offer new  value added services and products.

  As time changes and years go by, so does any growing business as well as the industry that it is in.  In the early 1980's, the focus of J&S SUPPLY'S business started to change as well. The insulation industry was fast becoming the core of our business, and ever since then we have increased our share of the insulation market to the point where we are proud to say that we are now THE LARGEST WHOLESALE STOCKING DISTRIBUTOR OF INSULATION IN THE METROPOLITAN NEW YORK CITY AREA. This achievement was accomplished over the years by having one of the hardest working sales and customer service teams in the.entire industry, and the support of all the well known and brand name recognized major insulation manufacturers in the industry today.

In 1996 J&S SUPPLY started an aggressive expansion of its roofing products division in the resale and professional roofing markets. With the addition of key people in the roofing industry to the J&S SUPPLY team, along with the acquisition of state of the art specialized boom and crane equipment, & a full stocking inventory of roofing products.
